tell ___ ‘hi’ from me

We are thrilled to launch North Pole Studio’s most ambitious exhibition to date, tell___’hi’ from me: the work of self-taught, neurodivergent artists who live and create in Oregon. This exhibition features the work of 27 North Pole Studio Artists, representing the diversity of extraordinary work that is being created at North Pole Studio. The exhibition will open at Littman & White Gallery in Portland this summer and travel across the Northwest region throughout 2025 and 2026, amplifying the voices of neurodivergent artists whose perspectives have long been marginalized and inviting greater connection with Oregon’s contemporary art community.

Melinda Fey

Opening up the microgalleries for the first time in awhile, we’re happy to announce the current featured artist Melinda Fey! As Fey puts it, “Each piece is an invitation—both for myself and the viewer—to cultivate love, cherish relationships, and recognize the profound beauty in human connection. I believe that art has the power to not only reflect our innermost aspirations but to bring them to life. It is my hope that my work resonates with others, inspiring them to pursue, nurture, and treasure the significant relationships in their own lives.”

memento

With life, comes loss. But our ability to reflect and grow from loss is what makes our lives distinctly human. Throughout our history we have designed tools, shards of larger memories that help us deal with loss. “memento”, keepsakes, and relics are some of the names we have given to the tools we look for when we lose something we love.

These tokens of memories act as spiritual guides that navigate us through grief and serve as a reminder of our growth. It’s important not to ignore our past, but let it plant seeds for our future.

This exhibit aims to offer you a space to claim that memory towards your growth.

PNW Conceptual Art Center

The Pacific Northwest Conceptual Art Center would like to invite you to our 75th Anniversary Retrospective, graciously hosted by the Littman Gallery at Portland State University. We will be showing a variety of historical conceptual artworks influenced by the center, as well as contemporary artists working in the field.

Mission statement: The PNW Conceptual Art Center’s goal is to provide opportunities for artists and writers, and education and events for anyone who wants to learn about conceptual art and its history. We choose to operate out of a sense of abundance and believe that the making and enjoyment of art is for everyone.
