Artist Statement: 

These series of works express the location and places that make up the ‘Apikale’s life. They acknowledge the city she lives in, as well as the lands of her identity

Let the City Tell You: This series of sketches documents buildings that were once black-owned, but now are gentrified, misplacing the original owners.
