Guidelines for Exhibiting Artists
Littman + White Galleries is excited to host an exhibition of your work! Please review the below information and provide us with the necessary information. Exhibition planning and execution will work best if you pay close attention to deadlines. Please do not hesitate to ask for assistance. Your curator, as well as the rest of the Littman + White team, will be happy to help make the process as smooth as possible. Thank you and we look forward to exhibiting your artwork!
Publicity
Please provide your curator with the following information. This will help us promote your exhibition in the months prior to the opening. We will promote the exhibition via our website and social media platforms, as well as paper promotional materials such as postcards and posters.

Art on Loan Agreement
Please complete an Art on Loan Agreement and return it to us at least 8 weeks prior to installation. Select the appropriate gallery below. If you need help completing the agreement, please review our sample agreement and/or reach out to your curator. Completed agreements can be scanned and emailed to curatorlw@pdx.edu, or mailed to us (see the bottom of this page for our mailing address.) You can also drop off the agreement at our Littman Gallery office during gallery hours.

Please create an Artwork Inventory List and Appraisal to accompany your Art on Loan contract. It should include:

Materials/medium used

Gallery Maps
Our curator and preparator will work with you to plan out the layout of your exhibition prior to the installation. If you would like to look at a floor plan, so you can determine what work you would like to include in the exhibition, please review our gallery maps.
Install
At least two months before the exhibition, please work with our curator and preparator to determine specific artwork drop off dates and times within the date range listed on your Letter of Invitation.
Meet with our curator and preparator at least four weeks prior to installation to create a installation plan. Before to this meeting please email a list of all artwork that will be included in the exhibition to curatorlw@pdx.edu. In that list please include the following information:

Title of work
Materials/medium used
Dimensions
Year created
Any special installation requirements or equipment needs
Generally artists are not present during our installation. If your work requires you to be present during the installation process, please discuss this with your curator. Any specific lighting or display preferences can be discussed with our curator and preparator during your pre-install meeting.

Deinstall
Our preparator will lead the deinstall of your exhibition. Prior to the opening of the exhibition, our curator and preparator will work with you to organize artwork pick up times based on the time range listed on your Letter of Invitation. Please review our Parking at PSU section below for information about loading zone passes.
Reception
Our receptions generally take place on a Thursday or Friday from 6 to 8pm. Your curator will work with you to pick a date that works best; we will suggest a date (usually the First Thursday within the exhibition dates), but we can be flexible if that date does not work for you.
Our Publicity Coordinator will create a Facebook event for your reception the month prior to opening. Please help us promote the event by sharing exhibition and reception information through social media (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.)
Littman + White will provide catering for the reception. We generally offer gluten free, vegan options, such as veggies with hummus, in addition to cheese and crackers. Because Portland State University has a contract with Chartwells, we can not serve food or beverages that are not ordered through them. All Portland State University events are alcohol free.
Parking at PSU
Loading Options:
PSU's 30-minute loading zones do not require payment or a parking permit.
Permits for areas not designated as loading zones may be purchased at the Transportation & Parking Services office during business hours or from the Parking Structure 1 attendant, located at SW 6th & Harrison St., beginning at 6:30 am Monday-Saturday.
Short-term Parking:
Hourly and visitor parking is available in various locations on campus.
Short-term parking permits may be purchased at the Transportation & Parking Services office.
The Transportation & Parking Services office is located at 1812 SW 6th Ave. They are open Monday through Friday, 9 to 5pm.
Artwork Sales
Littman + White galleries are exhibition spaces only; we do not handle the sale of artwork or advertise prices for exhibited art. If you would like to leave business cards with us, so interested buyers can contact you, we will happily display them along with the rest of the exhibition informational materials.
Review of Important Deadlines
Below is a list of all the deadlines for exhibition planning. Specific dates will be listed on your Letter of Invitation. All needed information can be emailed to your curator at curatorlw@pdx.edu.
8 Weeks Prior to Exhibition:
